My 2012 Triton is struggling to start.

It will start , Idle for about 2 to 3 seconds and then stop running.
I have checked and it is not a fuel delivery to the pump problem.
The Engine Light is On.

Where or how can I do one of the following:
1. Get the Fault Codes Manually (I do not have a Diagnostics Computer and have to travel to town))
2. Activate "Limp Mode" enabling me to travel to town

your engine is shutting itself down to protect itself from damage
friend of mine had something very similar a few weeks back and it was contaminated diesel leading to excess water in the fuel filter
