Before I start pulling out trim panels, could some kind person confirm where the Cobra Alarm control box is to be found?
2007 model Pram double cab
Only picture I could find was in a Pajero manual, shows one example fitted to the right of the drivers footwell in the door pillar.
B40 manual has a line drawing that I just can't decipher.
Many thanks in advance!
Simon

Thanks Nick - but as I posted above, the B40 (online) manual has a line drawing that could be anything/anywhere.
Was hoping somebody would spill the beans!

Have a look behind drivers side footwell kickpanel? Have you got the LED flasher? That's a good easy trace as it's never usually a long cable run to the unit
Anything is possible, all you need is imagination or own a bank!

I had a look at tracing the LED cable - in fact I'm replacing it with a new Button (Control Unit) it's buried well and I was hoping not to have to dismantle half the damn dashboard to find it.
Plan B is to cut and join in the new button, but the old insulation is brittle and I'd prefer to install the whole new cable (about 3 foot long)

Just for interest - this is what the manual shows - I just don't recognise where this is?

AAAAHHHH see it now - cube with lid on the pipe-thing will be the ODB socket.
Many thanks for that, I hate disturbing old plastic trim, it has a habit of self-destruct.

Just to answer my own question, (for my 2007 model B40) the Cobra alarm module is bolted inside the engine compartment, just to the offside of the Brake Servo. It's tricky to access, as it needed the loom to be freed from inside, above the foot pedals.
I have contacted Vodafone support who deal with technical issues, they were very informative and traced the original unique PIN from my serial number but sadly I can't access programming mode via the PIN - probably someone has changed it from default.
I see plenty of other people have had issues with this alarm system - so I will wait until I have some time on my hands to try swapping in a replacement unit.
