Hi all,
I've recently purchased an L200 (2007, double cab, Animal, 2.5l) and the CD player in the front won't eject CD's and the rear 10 disc changer doesnt read MP3 CD's.
Is there a way of upgrading this system so I can have a multi MP3 CD Changer and maybe a new head unit which allows for a USB input or Bluetooth? I noticed that it's connected to the display in the center of the dash and I don't want to be removing anything and cocking up any of the computer system... I'd still like to see the MPG and Fuel-to-empty and other details like that, but if that center screen can also be replaced and upgraded to a sat-nav style, full colour screen then that would be perfect.
I'm open to any suggestions but this is my only gripe with it at the moment (and the lack of cruise control which I can live with). I might upgrade the speakers as well considering I have a few really good ones laying around from back in the day when I had my smaller cars but that's another day.
Any help would be super appreciated!
Kind regards,
SparkySam
not sure if you'll be able to see the photo or not but I've got a kenwood in mine (standard I believe in the higher/later models) that does all the bluetooth/usb/dvd/satnav stuff
and a screen lower down that does all the mpg/miles to empty/temp/height above sea level and all other really non essential stuffBild entfernt (keine Rechte)

Many thanks for the reply.Does Kenwood the only reliable Brand which makes Multimedia systems that fits our cars Krutly?
Yeah, I think most brands will fit but the wiring is already there for kenwoods so makes it easier from that point of view
mine plays DVDs has TV (if you connect a decent aerial) phone blutooth radio (not DAB) sat nav and a load of other stuff like memory cards and usb devices
I find I only ever really have it on blutooth connected to my phone so I can listen to spotify
went to use the DVD the other day only to find the batteries had died in the remote
sat nav seems pretty accurate and works better than mrs krutly's 3 year old ford system
the way we use 'in car entertainment' has changed a fair bit over the last 10 years and I suspect will change beyond what we imagine now within another 10 years
