Hello. I've got a 2008 l200 diamond DI-D and the cruise control has never worked properly. When you set the cc it will just accelerate until you turn it off. It just has 1 speed. Has anyone got any ideas on this? Thanks

Probably a short on switch or a problem throttle control actuator

Thanks for the response AD. Bit more background. My throttle body went bad. It sometimes wouldn't rev at all from tickover. The code said throttle body and cruise control was flat out. I changed the throttle body for a used 1 and the no acceleration problem was cured. The cruise control mostly goes flat out but occasionally will keep the speed you set it to for about 20 seconds then it kicks down and goes bonkers. Since changing the throttle body I have noticed a reduction in power. The diamond is supposed to be 165bhp, would it make a difference if the used throttle body was off say a 135bhp l200. Thanks
