I removed and restored my tank (classic). Think I got it just in time and new stack pipes fitted and fuel filter. Nows the time to reprime the system. Ive attached the out and back pipes on the tank and filled with 20 litres. I attached the flow in to the filter assembly. Ive attached a 6" length of hose to the filter out and attached that to a Pella vacuum pump. The plan was that between using the Pella and the priming pump on top of the filter assembly, pump the fuel up until it runs into the Pella. That would show the fuel line and filter is full .Then remove the Pella and using the priming pump push more fuel out as I attach the line to the injector pump. Would this work? I appreciate there will be a small amount of air in the system somewhere but not much. Would this bleed itself?
If I have to bleed the injectors how do I do this? Do I have to bleed them all or just one or two until the engine starts and the other two would then self bleed? Do you bleed them with the engine turning over or by pressing the priming pump? Ta for help as always Nik

crack the injectors off and turn the engine over to bleed out the last bit of air

Do I need to do this for all four injectors? I presume your mate turns it over and while cranking you crack it until it bleeds fuel. close that injector then onto the next etc. Must you do all four or if the engine runs fine can you leave some untouched? Ta Nik

provided the fuel filter is full and pressurized with the pump then just crank it. Maybe put your foot on the accelerator to improve the diesel flow. I've never had a problem on other engines.

Worst part is pumping on the filter pump as it's about 5ml a press it feels like

Never needed to bleed these before even after having all the injectors and high pressure fuel lines out.

She runs!!!!......Pella pump worked great....probably took 10 seconds to draw it up and fill the filter. Then attached that line to the fuel pump. As I turned the ignition my mate pumped the primer ..It started almost instantly...roughly but then settled down...job done ...thanks guys Nik
