Hi,
Ive got a 2007 Diamond auto (2nd gen i think) and have had on numerous occasions the engine management light come on and at the same time the traction control and ABS (i think) come on and truck goes into limp mode.
I was thinking it could be the teeth and or ABS sensors, but have got a garage to read the codes and the mechanic then stated it is either the turbo actuator and or the flap within the turbo itself. I did not get a chance to get the code/s.He reckons it was ceased.
Can this be right?
Also, is this code reader any good
Mitsubishi L200 Diagnostic Scan Tool & Reset Fault Code Reader - iCarsoft i909
or what do you reccomend to read all the codes and clear?
Cheers
The B40s /series 4/pram use OBD for most faults, but some of the safety systems may require a MUT3.
The limp mode may well be that the small vacuum pipe from the manifold is blocked, it's quite common @Nick will be able to describe it better, as you won't be able to see any pictures untill you are a full member

The Turbo boost pipe comes off the bulkhead behind the battery and attaches to the rocker cover.
It normally has a blockage inside the alloy tube, most use a tiny drill bit to clean out the crap.
Also check the rubber pipe for cracks splits.
Most OBD code readers will read B40 New shapes.

Cheers guys.
having the pics would be a massive help.
when the mechanic read the code, the code he read pointed him to the turbo
so the code reader i mentioned would be goof for reading and clearing normal codes etc?
cheers
