Just a quick query,
I know my account. Has just been activated, but I get an error when I try to create a new topic under ask the expert. Is this normal at this stage?
Many thanks

Hi all,
Many thanks for the welcome, I read that notice last night, and I have sent a message to the Admin.
So here I the situation with my L2000.
I always had land rover defenders and while searching for a 90, I came across the l200. I took a lunge, and bought it. I have been totally converted, I absolutely love it, so comfortable, so versatile.
Currently have an engine light on, and a friend who is a mechanic plugged it in, and it is showing a code 46. I didn’t have any boost, with very poor power, so we replaced the turbo, and it’s hugely improved.
The rev counter doesn’t work, and the 4wd green light stays flashing when 2H is selected. (It definitely does disconnect at thee box, but I think the vacuum system in the front axle doesn’t work)
So this is where I need the help. He says the code 46 is a fuel pump issue, however I have read online that the code 46 is a communication error from ECU to the fuel pump. So along with the rev counter not working, we were thinking that it could be the ECU that is faulty.
The ECU number that is fitted is MR577140. This seems to be showing up as a Pajero ECU, and the L200 common ECU is showing up as a different number.
So, over to the floor, any thoughts on what I should do next? Are there any tests that anyone could recommend?
A fuel pump would be quite expensive, so if I can rule out any other items first, it would be great.
Anyway that’s enough rambling on from me, any help is much appreciated.
Cheers

Thanks for the welcome. Although i do not now own a L200, have offered my help to a mate with that flashing greenlight problem. Today replaced the 2 vac solenoids he had bought as a starter, but that did not fix the problem. So got underneath and moved the rubber boot to reveal the actuator shaft. At first it was stiff, but with a gentle push with a screwdriver managed to get it to move and the light went out, but it keeps moving back and the light comes back on. Does this mean the actuator needs replacing, if so how easy, cost, and where to get one, or is there something else first i need to try. The old boy who owns it is 73 deaf as a post, so i have to keep crawling out from underneath to explain to him.
It is a 03 plate 4life double cab
Tried to upgrade but when i went on private message it would not allow me to type message to admin
