Who did the work on the clutch? Was the release bearing changed with the clutch?
Also - do you get any shuddering when releasing the clutch while pulling away in 1st?

The whole clutch kit was changed.was done by my usual mechanic whos worked on my jeeps for years so cam trust him.no reql juddering when taking off in first.could be a faulty release bearing?would thay cause the knocking and clutch hitting the floor though?

Only thing to cause that I’m afraid is a goosed slave/master cylinder. But the fact ur getting a noise from the transmission suggests it’s a problem down there. I’ve had a brand new slave cylinder bust on me before after a week. Unfortunately it does happen. There not difficult to strip down urself if ur ok with a spanner. Did they change the DMF..???

it is not unusual for the slave to give up shortly after changing the clutch
