try it with the engine running and just open one nipple at a time with your pipe in ya bottle the abs pump will pump the fluid through

Read somewhere, you have to pump the pedal 20 times before opening each nipple. You then have to go round again, this time pumping 40 times quickly, similar to cadence braking, all while the engine is running. Alternatively I took the multiplug out of the ABS ECU and powered up the pump / solenoids, then opened and shut the nipples very quickly. Bit off a faf but gets any air out of the ABS pump solenoids etc.

You have to pump down then open the bleed nipple. Then close it before you bring the pedal back up. Then open and pump down and then close and pull pedal up. Don’t pull the pedal up with the nipple open. Let’s a small amount of air back in. And only one nipple at a time. Those Halfords £20 brake bleeders are quite good for a cheap one. The ones that run off your spare tyre.

Make sure it has the large adaptor lid, I have one but can't fit it to truck as I don't have a lid big enough.

That's the standard euro size. if you get stuck, draper do a universal clamp lid that should work https://www.drapertools.com/product/28837/Expert-Universal-Brake-Cap-Adaptor

Right listen up.
With the engine switched OFF. Make sure the reservour is full. Fit your pipe onto the offside rear bleed nipple and open it. Back sure the other end of the pipe is submerged in clean brake fluid in a bottle. One person pump the pedal about 8 times (1 pump per second is fine) while you watch for bubbles in the bottle. If you dont have bubbles there is no air in the system. Do the same for both front brakes. Make sure the reservour doesnt run out of fluid. When each one is bled hold the pedal to the floor while the nipple is tightened.
If its still spongey try clamping each flexy hose individualy to see if the pedal goes hard. If it goes hard then the one clamped is causing the issue. Check the front slides arent seized too.

@Alan G . When you're a Jedi master and have a Padawan working for you, the third leg is easy! Its usually just me being billy no mates for stuff like that, as it's odd hours when normal folks are tied up with family time!

Just make sure the pipe you have is long enough so the bottle can stand on the ground. Thats what I do then pump a few times, top up reservour then pump again and keep doing that 😁👍
