I likes this,
http://www.ultra-gauge.com/ultragauge/index.htm
The Ultra Gauge has been reduced from $210 to $69 with UK shipping of $31.
The old Scangauge which was pretty pants is still around the $150 mark.
It'll display a possible 74 different gauges depending what your ECU reads. It plugs into your OBD port and away it goes.
For customer reviews, here's a couple of youtubes.
'95 Toyota
Mini
And it also has various alarms for when things go pete tong.
Trick little gadget for not a lot of dosh, I reckon about £60. Not quite sure how, but I have a plan to ditch the 3 instruments in the centre binnacle dash bit and fit this.
Although I might not want to know what my MPG is.

Really, I thought all vehicles from 2002 HAD to be OBD compliant....?
I mean, that Toyota in the first vid is 1995.

I like the look of this.
It says it can read fault codes as well, I wonder if it can read an L200's? Would be great if it could, it would be a cheaper option than getting your fault code read at a garage. This would pay for itself first time you got a fault code.
I would like to know my MPG as well

the classics did not comply to obd , with the L200 being commercial they did not need to abide by that rule which applied to cars - hence needing a mut3 machine to read the codes the new ones do comply though

They are both OBD2 machines, they will work with new ahapes only. They wil NOT work with the Classics. They are a completely different system. The classics had a Mitsubishi own brand system which could only be read by their own MUT 11 computers. They only complied with the OBD2 system whem they were required to by law, first vehicles were the new shapes.
Several of the larger diagnostics manufacturers have developed add ons for their equipment that can read the earlier models notably snap-on etc to date we have not been able to find one at less than £1500 plus vat. None of them are hand held machines.
The systems you were displaying ,including the one with the alarms can be bought for 60 -70 pounds, hand held ones which can be plugged in and record while driving for playback later from about £40.
Any OBD2 reader will work with new shape L200 with the systems required by law for all vehicles, this does not cover everything in the car and each manufacturer has certain things which are only readable by their systems I.e
Air bags, service intervals etc - this is how the dealerships hope to retain their hold on customers.

Colin i have a scangauge on mine, its pretty good havent had an issue with it yet, and it has the latest software so you can sort of design your own sensors with it.
Cool, ignore what I said about the Scanguage being pants.
Unless you plan to upgrade to the ultraguage as it's better - and cheaper.

I wonder if we could email them and ask if they could modify some to work with the classic shape L200's system?
