Hello
I have recently purchased a 2017 l200 barbarian but I hate the chrome scratch plates behind the door handles and all the other chrome I have purchased a new front grill Matt black like the svp version has
But my question is does anyone know if the scratch plates/rear light surrounds can be removed while keeping the paintwork fully intact ? Would heating them with a glue gun or something work ?
If anyone has any experience of this I would be Much appreciated
Thanks
Not sure Tom to be honest, another option would be to tape up the surrounding areas and possibly spray the chrome in raptor black

He won't be able to see the link as he's a guest... best just to put up the item number but I think that's what he's looking for...

Thanks for the reply’s
Tbh I was hoping to remove the current ones and hope the paint was intact underneath and if not replace the chrome with somthing like the eBay link guessing no one has any experience of removing /replacing these then ?
Did you manage to remove the scratch plates? I have just bought an electric blue Series 5 and want to do the same. Most items seem to be easy but I want to set about on the door handles but don’t want to risk damaging the panel.
Can you get some heat behind them with a trim removal tool so as not to scratch paint and a hairdryer in the hope they will lift?
