I have just signed up to become a member of the l200 forum and waiting for my manual registration which could take some days .
My question to you all is.
what other gearboxes are compatible with the 2.8 non turbo diesel 2002 4m40 k77 mitsubishi L200?
I am having a really hard time trying to find one after taking the gearbox out and finding teeth missing from one of the gears.
when it was running it was making a clacking sound.
All help would be very much appreciated.

did you find which other gearbox fits your motor. i have the same problem but mine is a 2.8 td

Would the Pajero/Shogun box fit? I know the figment of the prop shaft and flange are different but you could work around that, try find a breakers yard around your area and have a look, also check the box ref no see if they match?
