Hello All
2003 L200 Warrior has developed a misfire and a knock a loud one , I cracked open the fuel pipes to 1/2/4 and engine tried to stall , cracked number 3 and made no change to the engine. Aha I thought injector gone , changed injector and made no difference . Swapped injector with another one that tested ok ( in case faulty) and still no change . Head tested fine ( no leaks , only changed 2 years ago with milners head) , haven't compression tested yet as had to order one and not delivered yet . Exhaust is blue/white with acrid smell of fuel ( guessing due to misfire fire on number 3 ) . Any ideas folks ??? im fearing the worst like a piston or rings issue but hoping that I can be pointed in a different direction or given some ideas where to look next .
Regards
Jason

Once the aux belts are off, if the pulley is bad you'll probably be able to rotate the outer part all the way round it without the cam belt moving. If the key way is bad, you'll be able to rotate it a little bit one way or the other before the crank/cam starts moving. Only way to be sure though is to take it apart, then you can have a look at the crank sensor and plate to eliminate that.

Ok so here we go , new kit worked as it should and findings where-#1 340psi #2 320 psi #3 210 psi #4 320 psi . Did a wet text on number 3 and it jumped to 290ish . So I'm thinking defo rings or damaged piston . Anyone done the rings on one of these ? As I cant reach out for help n the current climate I will have to leave engine in and work around it . Any advise would be great
