So our key on our b40 broke (plastic away from metal. The truck wouldn’t start so suspected the chip was damage turns out it was missing! Must have fell out somewhere. Anyway after talking to our garage we got a auto key guy out for a replacement key and a spare. Here’s the problem, after having several machines on he is unable to do it! He got the first key to program and his software asked would it like to do another. Cutting a long story short it appears that it wouldn’t recognise a 2nd key and the 1st key would only work every 3/4 tries (actually start the car) Anybody have any ideas what is wrong. I’m worried that there might be an under lying problem.
I'll warn you that a new key ordered through the main dealer will set you back 247 quid including VAT .... trust me I know
