Hi there all
I’m new here my father in law has got a 2002 l200 he has had it for about a year I normally look after his vehicles for him I’ve just serviced it and changed the rear shocks and done a couple of other bits. And have noticed that there was a bulb out on the front rhs indicator and after I took it out I noticed that the bulb holder is broken so I am looking for a new lens and bulb holder with the wiring any ideas Where I could get one I seem to be able to find the clear lens but not a amber and clear. I then noticed once I took the indicator out a area of rust I have attached some photos so any advice would be great.
Thanks Andy

the connections inside the plugs that go in the back of the indicator housing rust for a pastime on classics
most will corrode and when you try and clean them they snap off
I think the only way is to replace the wiring harness loom thingy
your local mitzubishi dealer may be able to order you one but I suspect you may need a sit down if/when they tell you the price
other option is to order a set from ebay or the like that have new plugs and loom
here is an example ------------> Werbung: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MITSUBISHI-L2...7AAAOxy4kpQ-fSX
I'm sure with a bit of searching you may find them cheaper on the net someplace
just be aware the ones I've linked to are not a direct replacement, the plugs are different so would need cutting and crimping onto your existing loom

Also on the rust i have looked a bit more without taking the bumper off and it looks like where it gone maybe be the radiator support bracket as it runs all the along the front to the other side any advice would be good

Yea that rust looks bad! I noticed something similar, albeit not as bad as that pictured, one time when I took the bumper off. I patched it with sheet metal here and there and the MIG welder mostly burned through the metal it's that thin! Best to get a new front panel but if I remember correctly its spot welded in so not sure if I'd tackle it myself! From reading various peoples posts on other sites it seems to be a common place for the rust to take over. On the topic of rust...check under the tub for the horizantal beams that rest on the chassis (as one of mine is looking like a crumbly cadburys flake at the moment and my L200 is an 02).
I actually have this page bookmarked for when I get around to buying a new one: ww.morepartz.co.uk/shop/front-panel/mitsubishi/l200/

Ok thanks for advice and the link to that website I’ve got a few old vw so not too scared of a bit of rust or spot welds will take the bumper off and investigate more and update on progress. Chassis is all good as I had a good look around it and have cleaned and wax oil it all
