abs fault

#1 by spikel200 ( Guest ) , Mon Jul 20, 2020 5:04 pm

2012 L200 manual.
ABS lights are on, fault codes read as no signal from both front wheel speed sensors. Both front sensors were changed (non genuine). Fault codes will not clear, live data read via scanner shows poor/intermittent signal from o/s/f sensor and no signal from n/s/f. Live data read via scope to Abs multiplug pins shows both sensors reading correctly. Assumed Abs Ecu fault and replaced with second hand unit from an identical vehicle. Part numbers and software versions are exactly the same on both Ecu units. On first start up with "new" second hand unit fitted, Abs lights were off and no codes present but after driving truck for few hundred metres Abs lights were back on and same codes had returned. Codes will not clear.
Two faulty Abs ecu's with same fault????
HELP.

have you checked the physical wiring between ECU and sensors? may have a cut or a shorting out wire

I had problems with my k74 abs and the wiring at the abs sensor plug had got water in it and rotted one of the wires off the plug giving an intermittent signal when it touched
