Another update ok eventually got the outer cv joint off it came down to my biggest hammer and 5min of whacking it now im 6ft 2" and I mean whacking it to get it to come off not good if your only want to replace a inner cv boot now im going to order a cv joint not taking the chance of putting the one I whacked back on although it did feel OK. Maybe it was a one of hope no one else wants to do a cv boot on one lol let's hope mine was a one off

No mate im just wondering if ur getting mixed up with the clip on the end of the shaft that on some 4x4s u need to take this clip of to get the driveshaft out of the hub
Mine was on the shaft that went inside the cv joint and when it came of the clip was right at the end of the shaft deep inside the joint so no there was no clip there mate u can see by my pics

Fingers crossed the new one goes on easy with the new clip sometimes u can damage the clip chapping it back on think I will get a friend to help at that point I will push clip in with 2 small screwdrivers while he taps it back on the shaft with piece of wood and a hammer

They have just designed that way the tightness of the bottom pulley turns the timing belt pulley so u need to be careful when undoing bottom pulley bolt
