Good morning,
Im hoping to get some advice from others who may have had the same issue
Ive got an L200 Barbarian 63 plate had it from brand new 0ct 2013 . In august 2017 At 25.000 miles the head gasket failed I took it to main dealer they said it wasn't covered by warranty as it was over 3 years but there was a "overheat campaign" in place. long story short they replaced the complete engine with a brand new one they call it a "long assembly". Anyway the head gasket has now failed again 1st October 2020 at 47000 miles. Its in main dealer to be Diagnosed today.
My questions are
1) has anyone else had heads/gasket replaced under this "overheat campaign" ?
2) If so what was the outcome IE did it fail again ?
3) My feeling is that by replacing the long assembly rather than addressing the suggested measures which I understand to be (revised head with a different material, different coolant, different rad cap, and a couple of other tweeks. They have effectively fitted an engine that Mitsubishi knew had inherent problems, Do you agree?
I hope you guys can help me
Many thx
Danny
