I had the dreaded flashing green 4x4 lights on my B40 last week and have ordered a new solenoid set and a new actuator as both found faulty. Driving home last night i had a sudden massive loss of power, hills where i could normally fly up at 60mph were suddenly foot to the floor 35mph slogs with very little power but no EML or smoke, On arriving home i took off the turbo inlet pipe - turbo span freely, checked the waste gate operation which was fine, checked the vacuum pipes under the engine cover - also fine. Thought i would just check the engine oil and found it on the minimum. Topped it up and the power is back as before. I guess it must be a limp mode but without any EML. The EML does come on and go off with ignition though.
Just in case someone else has this problem then please check your oil level.
On a different note, just returned last week from doing the NC500 around Scotland in her - 1,988 miles door to door without missing a beat!
