When you take off the EGR and cooler (which i have done ) i know the sensor has to remain plugged in but do you leave it open or closed ? as i would imagine this makes a difference somewhere along the line to the smooth running of the motor ??

Bart, sensor on the Valve can be left unplugged... No EML from it...block off the port with a blanking plate and the same on the exhaust manifold..EGR valve and the cooler with it's bits of metal pipe are bin fodder ...

So i can take the sensor off the vehicle ?
The egr and cooler are gone, but i thought you had to leave the sensor and just tape it up or something ?

Just tape up the plug mate, loads have done just that, the ecu will see it as a fault but it never effects the EML.
