What is the sensor on the throttle body ? what does it do ( or i think in my case what SHOULD it do ) can i test it ?
The damn thing wouldn/t start this morning and when it did start eventually i decided to have a poke around and i unplugged this sensor and nowt happened ? i would have thought it would cause a surge splutter stall or at least something as it is connected to the throttle body so it must do summit ?
Also i still can't rev the engine for approx 1 minute after starting and i am clutching at all available straws.

I think it's for the air temperature Bart yes you can test the resistance across the 2 pins. It is different for different temps let us know what u get I have the specs a home or they are in the manual

@123hotchef , doesn't this sensor have something to do with Vacuum system ? if so could it be a vacuum leak somewhere that is preventing the truck from revving ? maybe @LezT might know ?

it dont have anything to do with vacume it just senses the air temp and reports back to the ecu different resistances for different temps

The symptoms are still a pig t start at times (when cold ) and when it does start there is no response from the throttle pedal untill it has been ticking over for about 1 minute, then you can rev it and drive it. Once it is warmed up it drives ok apart from the point where you just press the accelerator where it feels like it is either struggling for fuel or air as it goes bbbbbbrum (tech speak) this is hot or cold, slightly better when hot.
The whole heater plug system has been tested and most of it is infact new. All voltages and resistances are spot on so it has nothing to do with the glow system.
When driving it goes as it should, turbo kicks in etc etc and only bad point is the hessitation at low rpm
