Take the shafts off. Change both inner and outer whilst they're off. Clean off the joints with a steam cleaner. Or bang em in the dishwasher. Check the joints for any signs of wear. Any pitting on the balls or scores in the cages and they prob want changing.

Drivers side you can undo the 4 bolts and wiggle and get it out without removing the hub. Passengers side I always have to split the top and bottom ball joints to get the shaft off. If you're replacing your ball joints like u said the other day then do it all in one big hit. Split the joints on both sides, remove the shafts out of the hubs and tie the hubs up out the way and work on the shaft on a bench in a vice. Then change the ball joints. Loads easier and less stress.

the balljoints were on truck 1 but for what it costs I should do this truck too the tracking is probably out anyway as the tyres are wearing badly so new bjs all round new track rod ends too I think whilst I am at it huh
so the shafts just pull out right no clips on them or anything
I may even use the spacers and flip the top ball joints on this truck too

Yea they just unbolt on driver side and pullout on passengers. There is circlips on the outside of the hubs that need removing tho.
