u joint

Well.. Currently I'm stood in me shed.. Scratching my head. I can't split the u joint in the drive shaft. Got it on my work bench, c clips are off.. Then went to separate it. First tried the socket and hhammer, then tried the vice and then I tried looking at it angrily and waiting for it to magically separate. The reason I'm asking this question, none of the above worked. Any help appreciated!
