Somebody's borrowing me a set of 37's at the weekend to work out where the front axle needs to sit for clearance. The front axle will be about 5-6 inches further forward than standard. I'll see if I can get a better picture at the weekend but the trucks tucked into a corner at the minute with it being static as I still want to be able to get other cars into workshop to work on.

The best still seems to be Megasquirt. It's been refined for so long. But Spitronics is cheaper and decent. I recently found out the Mecury 2 has no data logging facility. So the only way people have found to map it is to have someone drive it while they adjust the tables. Or take it to a tuner. We're going to try it this weekend using a screen recording program so that the laptop becomes the data logger. I'll be reporting on this because I don't think anyone's tried it. Gotta fit the AFR sensor and gauge first so that we know how it's running. The basemap is certainly rich.

Son in law (who I share unit with) remaps cars and he arranges rolling road days so the mapping it his down to him.

Nice. Very cool indeed. Will you be getting that galvanised or just paint it?

It's about half again as heavy as the standard crossmember. Not really fussed about adding a bit of extra weight I'm sure the v8 can handle it. I've got a problem with over engineering things but if I build it it tends to stay built lol

The V8 can most certainly handle it. And you're adding weight with the gearbox anyway. But losing it with the engine. So, who really cares. At the end of the day if you need more torque or power, tune the engine.

guess it adds to centres of gravity and weight low down on a lifted truck cant be bad
