Front seat swap

#1 by Camone , Thu Feb 04, 2016 5:47 pm

Has anyone swapped the front seats on a 2004 Warrior for any vehicles seats? Do you know what seats would just slot in? Looking for something a bit more bucket-like.

Chap on Facebook put Evo 6 seats in, front and back. He said it only needed a couple of holes drilled in each seat. Got the whole set for £200.

I had corbeau targa buckets in mine. Used flat bar to mate them to the old frames.

Ive put different seats into cars before, its not too difficult if you are reasonably DIY friendly.
Mazda MX5, Early Jag XJS and MGF seats fit into early Scimitars which are quite narrow cars so they SHOULD easily fit into a Mitsi.
I always use the runners of the car the seats are going in, you can shift the seat about on the runners to get the best position in the car and, usually, basic bracketry will mate the donor seat to the existing frame.
Ive got to replace the knackered ones in mine and ive got a pair of Alfa 156 leather seats in my garage, im not sure if they will fit but, if they don't, I may go the MX5/MGF route as they are plentiful and quite cheap.
Sorry if im stating the obvious!
