Should be a capital offence ruining a 4x4 legend like that. If someone came to me and asked me to put together a lowering kit or something gay like that I dont think I could hold my tongue.

hmm i dunno my mate has 35s and reckons there fine, he got 3" body lift and torsion bars all the way with the balljoint flip, nothing at rear and hes running 50mm wheel spacers also.
but he has cut alot out the arches reckons its ok. that said he told me he smashed the font end on full lock when it went in the air and came down hard ?
i guess the bottom line is whats your idea of fine....occasional scrub here or there or nothing at all...
im in the same boat i have 285/75/16 but might sell and get either 285/75/16 or 33s/ 15s or 35 /15s either way im after steels look way better lol

You've gotta becarful with 35's,L200's don't like em,off road they put a lot of strain on the steering components, especially ya track rod ends.Carry spare ones as they tend to snap under load.

No mate,33's were the biggest I ran. While we were at Kirton I met three lads in L200's all running 35's and they were having track rod end issues. So after asking the question on various forums it would seem the standard steering components are not really up to the job of running tyres of that size in an off road situation.

Unless you can find some heavy duty steering components. If they exist, I would try Australia.

reckon your could fashion something up to use rose links or would they not provide enough movement?

There was a bloke in our club that was running 35's https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hT-_Moom4_4
The problem he faced was a lot of cutting and there was no options for obtaining stronger frond end components
So it was just 2" body and 2" sus...
Any more lift on the sus would break CV's
Any more on the body lift and your pushing the limits of breaking the cab off the chassi...

A few places sell 3 and 4 inch lift kits seen plenty of trucks running them with no problems but I hear you about the cab being ripped off the mounting points

Seen a couple with 35s too and they look tight, I have cut all I can without going into the foot wells
