I've sent an email to Alien snorkels,
http://www.aliensnorkels.co.uk/
who are a UK manufacturer / importer, who do a large range of Jap and Jeep polythene snorkels cheap as chips mostly around the 80 quid mark, only problem is that they list every other mitsi than the L200, however they do say that they may be able to supply ones that are not listed, I have stated that this is a trade enquiry with the potential to buy several unit, we'll see what they come back with

I know they are Land Rovers but, a good reason/use for a correctly fitted snorkel.

Might stop for a short while the anti 4X4 brigade

Just bought this

Got it cheap and it's a genuine safari, with all fixings, hoses and he's throwing in extended diff breathers as well, I couldn't let it go for the money

It's probably the last thing I need at the moment considering my trucks running like a pig, and I'm already skint, but I couldn't pass it over at that price.

I don't have stefano's skill or tooling, and I think taking it to a company to have it copied would work out just ad expensive as a Malaysian copy and probably not as tidy

Well it don't look like the safari snorkel is ever going to arrive, bought it 15 days ago now, no sign of it after 5 days so sent the seller and email, he replied saying it would be out in 24 hours and that he was having family problems, but that was 10 days ago and it still hasn't arrived and he is no longer replying to emails or phone calls / texts, so I've been left with no option but to claim back my doh from PayPal.

His name is Phyllip Cotton from Warwick, ( note the strange spelling) some Internet searches have found Phyllip Cotton proprietor of www.bobtail4x4.co.uk based in Warwick, given the peculiar spelling and the fact that he modify 4x4s what's the chance of this not being my man or a father or son...very slim I would think.

I did think of phoning the rozzers and reporting a fraud but there may be a rational explanation or his family woes have taken a serious or tragic turn, but I can't see it arriving now, so I've escalated it to a PayPal claim, shame really but at least I've sourced the other snorkels in the group buy section

Sure you wont have any trouble with paypal, but if you do I will be happy to visit the seller and resolve it for you.

I bought it outside of eBay but there is still the same protection, and I also payed PayPal with a credit card to make doubly sure I was covered

Thanks Brian, the seller seemed genuine as he was the one that said he would throw in the diff breathers and pipework etc, i think that something serious must have happened as he isn't replying to the business numbers either when I tried calling from different numbers, I can't confirm that the two Phyllip Cottons are the same so the bobtail4x4.co.uk guy may be a complete innocent
He may come back to me yet but I doubt it

Well It looks as if all is well with the seller as their posting up new stuff on ebay and i still haven't got the snorkel or a refund
On their latest advert they mention their businesses bobtail4x4.co.uk so it looks like I managed to identify the correct person in my post above.
The PayPal case is still ongoing as they are waiting on a reply from the seller, I have sent a more appropriate message to him and I would expect some form of reaction
Just wish I was closer to Warwick, as i wouldn't mind a "chat"
I will wait for PayPal to do their stuff or the remote possibility that the seller produces the goods before deciding if there will be any "afters" with my colleagues in Warwickshire

PayPal have given him up to the 3rd of June to reply, so I wouldn't want to intervene before then incase it prejudices my refund, I appreciate the offer but I wouldn't ask anyone to confront him as incase it gets anyone into bother, unless you know him per chance, I would imagine he must be well known to the local landy crowd
