Evening all my name is tony and i run a garage i hampshire.
Im the proud owner of an 02 l200 warrior that i purchased for game shooting. And i love her to bits shes pefect for my every need even drove her to the south of france last year. To take the kids for a white christmas.
Got powerloss and eml a few weeks ago scanned and got 52 vgt prs vacume to the unit 12 v dropping with revs but no vacume out to actuator.
Not mitsi dealer near me anymore and motor factors struggling to source a unit i had no choice but to get the wife to go on ebaaaay which i avoid like the plaige.
I must say that i very good looking unit turned up before whe pressed the buy button.
I fitted the unit and the truck drove like new. For a week then it failed again i got a replacement fitted it this morning and half way back from a 100 mile round trip the replacement failed could it be cheap carp.i cant find any logic to what would make theze units fail.
Has anyone come accross this before.
I would appreciate any insights thanks tony

My appologise for the previous posts my battery on my phone was dying and i was attempting to type fast with mechanics fingers. i did consider the boost/map sensor and am going to check all the resistances tomorrow afternoon however the replacement of the solinoid did rectify the issue if only for a short term. I just could not figure out if it were possible for an underlying issue to cause the unit to fail. Alot of the new stuff we see runs 5v and incorrect voltage causes many sensor issues but this is a 12v unit ect ect.
I may just order a a genuine unit by phone monday.
Thanks tony
keep us updated Tony it willbe good to know

Just thought id give you all an update.
My local renault! Has become a mitsi dealer and i sourced the boost control solinoid individualy for £48 trade so far 1 week and all good will report back in a few weeks
Now been a few weeks and the genuine solinoid is behaving.
The over boost issue still presents its self nown again despite winding the turbo down a bit im going to have a flick through the forum later on that.
Moral of my story avoid cheap carp
