SHE'S WORKING!!!!!!!!!!!
Bleed procedure done again. Dad's just of to get some diesel for me as my aux tank is too low to do let the stat open. So all we got to do is wait for the stat to open then race it and check fluid levels. Any advice at this point welcome as I don't want to cock it up now!

check the rad each and every time you have stopped for over an hour, once you get three days without any drop you can forget about doing it other than your weekly checks
right stop farting about and lets see a thread on what you think about running on neat veg

The thermo stat hasn't opened yet but the truck is hot and has been ticking over for 15 mins. This normal?

No out the woods yet. Thermostat still hasn't opened but the temp gauge is sitting below half way like it always did. This would make me think it isn't supposed to open yet as other wise the temp gauge would be going up. Ideas?

Turn it off let it cool right down then check water again, might have to do it a few times to clear the air out, they are notorious for air locks but a bit of patience and you will do it.make sure your heater control is fully open too

It's the bottom radiator hose Bootsie. It's amazing cool. How hot should it get. I gave it some revs and the temp gauge stayed normal. It's off and cooling down now and I'll check water again in a bit. I'm just unsure whether the stat opened or not? Is it THAT efficient that stood still the bottom rad hose is luke warm at most?

You will know if you have to add water, if so do it a couple of times then a very short run to get it a bit hotter, let it cool again and re-check.Its better cool than hot but would guess there is some air to come out yetawhile.

I had an air lock in mine at first. When I opened the rad cap after a run you could hear it all the air come to the top. Topped it up with coolant and has been sorted since.
Well done on getting it going again. Is a massive job. What was causin it not to run before?

I thought it was hot water in the top of the rad and cold out the bottom of the rad after cooling by the rad, sounds like its working as it should

Yes that is how it works I just am surprised it's that efficient. My lower hose barely gets warm. But it all must be working as I've done about 10 miles and no issues what so ever. Coolant levels haven't moved and temp gauge is static below half way. I'll keep checking coolant levels but it looks to be fine to me.
RobL200..... when I fitted the veg kit I left a water hose unclipped. It was on the barb just not fastened down. Drove fine the next day until I went up hill with 500kg in the back. Pressure built up, hose blew and head went a few second later. The temp gauge went through the roof like rocket.
Now, a quick mention of the mods I did while it was apart. The port match has certainly made the turbo spool up a little quicker. Along with the cleaned and flow matched injectors it now has a tad more get up and go. It's not turned into a sports car but you can feel the difference. It's also got a throatier sound now.
Happy days all round really,
Mike... I will indeed do a thread about how I'm finding running on neat veg. But for now I haven't been able to change the relay trigger yet. I'm still switching over at 35mph. I had a quick test with the multi meter and the only place I can think of or find that would give 12v on start up is the ignition barrel. I didn't have time to do that today so I'll be on it at the weekend and then start reporting about veg.

Thanks kids..... I do feel a sense of achievement. No more going to mechanic now. Not unless the gear box goes. I just don't fancy pulling that out without a ramp.
