Minor tinkering....

Compared to recent events this was small fry tinkering.....

My indicator lenses are mangled. I ordered clear lenses to replace them and some clear side repeaters to match them. The indicators won't be here for another week or so but repeaters arrived the other day.

Ordered them from powerful uk on eBay. They look the part, had to do a fair bit of trimming to the plugs to get them to fit as the new connectors wouldn't fit correctly so old connectors needed to be trimmed down.

Will post a pic up in a bit...

You can be arrested for minor tinkering mate....................... now you need to get the LED T5 bulbs for these as they finish them properly, while you are there LED T5 white bulbs for the sidelights and the silver coloured ( amber) bulbs for the front indicators.

Here's a pic.

You will notice all of the time and effort that has gone into cleaning it since Inverness.......

Rob, with the LED bulbs you cannot see any amber in there, same with the sides and the front indicators. Great job on the cleaning mate........................................indicators are OK too

Hehe, have the LED sidelight bulbs in already. Will look at more lighting trinkets once my brakes work and my rear prop isn't shaking itself to pieces lol

Just spongy as hell, think new discs, pads, braided lines and a good bleed are in order

May be front siezed caliper, worth checking out first, that would make the pedal feel spongy. Just have the wheel off and check that you can push the pads back a little and move the caliper on the slides freely. Same the other side.

Aye will give it a go. Discs and pads are coming up for 5 years now so not expecting them to have much left

try opie oils in discounts, they have brake pads and discs on offer 25% off all made by ferodo which is probably the the best manufacturer, their best pads are better than the 'greenstuff' and a lot better price

2006 'new shape' from new 66000 miles, no problems, just serviced every 12k miles.
