Installed cab switches... pics

Installed switches in the cab today. If only they were oil slicks and missiles............

Veg override switch.

Switches for spots and tub heater

I've run these wires into the engine bay. Hopefully at weekend I'll finish the wiring to get the tub heater and spots working.

Did you steal them from an F-16 fighter....?

Seriously, they look good, I like them.

And, have you painted your dash from silver to black....?

Kills the power to absolutly nothing, you can rig it to the pump but that would leave ign still on, flick the red switch down and the truck is totally dead!! MSA regs require this for off-roading.

Or are the ones in the centre for the ejection seats?

That's what I'm saying Scot! I wish they were oil slicks, missiles and ejector seats!

In Maplin they are actually called Missile switches!

Do it!

If I do get water injection I 'll be fitting an over ride to it which is wise anyway. That way when people get in they're bound to say "which one makes it go faster?" and I can justly say "THAT ONE!"

Yoda, the switch on the dash, below the hazard lights one, the piece of the dash that its attached to, how do you get that off? is it just the 2 screws underneath near the speedo? Also while i'm asking, do you know the best way to get to the wires at the back of the cig lighter? I am thinking of hard wiring my phone charger to them and the wire coming out right by the phone holder, so it hides the cable.
cheers greg

Greg.... the dash section has the two screws you noticed underneath the top above the glass. take those out then get your fingers in the edges, I started left of the heater controls. Give it a gentle prise and it will come out. Then work it loose all the way around. Use a screw drive to lever it out if you like but carefeul not to damage your dash.

The cig lighter...funny you should ask because I had he exact same idea. I think you have to take the lower tray out. Easily done. Lez may know....

I removed the cubby hole thing and could see the wires going into the cig lighter. There's a plug with 1 black and 2 green that go to it, and also separately a blue wire that seems to go into the back of it. I think I'll just go for the trial and error approach.. Surely one would go on the blue, then just try the other three until it works
