No other codes when the eeprom is unplugged - if it is plugged in then several (all powered by same 5 volt circuit from ecu) - they are only being flagged because they aren't powered up

13 27 51 all will clear when eeprom unplugged, none will clear when it's plugged in.

I'm in Lesmahagow bud, at this point I really just need someone with a meter to test their eeprom to see if it has same continuity as mine. If it's the same it doesn't rule it out but would cast doubt over it. Thanks for the offer

Finally lol

Are you running with eml then? How does yours drive? Lucky you have one truck working

If you would be so kind sir I need two things checked - with the rom plugged in check the red&white wire of main loom (ign on) for 5 volts - it may be easier to check the red&white on the EGR sensor if you unplug it (same circuit) - sorry if you get a fault code lol

With the rom unplugged checking at the rom plug I I have continuity between the red and the black and the red and the yellow. I never bothered with resistance values as I dunno what they would/should be.

Cheers

@badbaz ill check that later mate

I have pulled the vac pipe off of the throttle body to stop it going into limp mode mate, well actually I have now removed the butterfly in the throttle body too! thats easy the egr has long gone on my truck too so the redundant plug is there ready to check.

That's great thanks

Mmmm, yours had the burnt track on ECU?

If you can clarify the wiring situation then it will help me move on. I've no one near with a similar truck I know to check.

mine did have a burnt track on ecu yes, but i think that was caused by over charging with previous owner,

this problem same as yours still exists mate, and it happens with a known working ecu pluged in just with the ignition turned on the truck dont have to be started even for the fault to show its ugly head

tbh I think it's been pinched off it - would it have been plugged into the ecu? Someone mentioned Warriors had something to increase power?

@123hotchef thanks for checking (and replying in the wrong thread )

Just to confirm the rom WAS plugged in when you checked for the voltage?

I only have black and yellow

Black becomes black on car side of loom and comes from ecu as an earth, I'll check that is an earth shortly

Yellow becomes blue/white and feeds from the ecu but it is a magic wire as I don't know what the symbol is on the ecu in the wiring diagram lol At pin 72 on the ecu in diagram
