Hi all
My first post other than my intro post, hoping someone will have an easy answer to this
Wiring in a reversing camera to the interior light (L200, 2006 new shape) - I always seem to mess electrics up, so does anyone know where these wires go? There's 3 (red, black, blue). Attached a photo of the interior light

I took mine from the back of the ciggy lighter , then attached the blue to the live so I could switch the camera on even when not in reverse

ahhh that makes sense actually, the lights do only work when the mounting screws are in. so if I attach the wire to the plate where the screws go, that might do it?
if I attach the blue wire to the live, as suggested by @krutly, is that going to blow anything?

yes that will work with the screw plate, if you do the blue wire to permanent live the dash cam will not come on automatically when u select reverse

Wow, I had the exact same problem on Monday fitting mine. No instructions whatsoever with the kit (cheers!?).
I took my perm 12v from the light unit, grounded it with a ring crimp around the screw for the unit, and ran a single cable to the reversing light along with the rca cable to the camera. So much for easy installation ;)

I agree, but only if you know that's how to do it it took me a little while to figure out what the blue wire was for.. I thought that the camera had a perm, switch, and ground to start off
