So just to confirm, I cannot remap my ECU being a cable throttle. Feel a bit stupid thinking otherwise but hey, what ya gonna do! Anyway, anyone know how to manually chadjust the fuel supply on the injection pump. I've heard it's something to do with a diaphragm in the top of the pump that reacts to boost levels?
With HHO and WI it may not be necessaary to do as I'd rather use alternative fuel for the mods to keep economy down. But it's something I best arm myself with just in case I need to to reach the magic 200. Diesel Bob said he can do it, but he damn sure aint gonna give the technical info on how to do it.

The mechanical pumps that I've played with had 2 main adjusters. The max fuel screw and the boost compensator. Usually the boost compensator is backed off a tad as it actually does the opposite of what you'd think it does. It controls the amount of fuel that goes in when the engine isn't in boost. It's backed off when the overall fuel is increased so that it doesn't smoke like a biatch when off boost.
Usually the boost is increased first then fuel is added (as fuel is added it increases boost itself but by a very small amount). When it starts to smoke on boost that's when you've added too much (unless you want it to smoke like others do) and remember that adding extra fuel raises the EGT (I'm sure it does, could be wrong though) and that's when people add water/meth injection systems to stop it fon smoking and bring the EGT/block temps down.
That's how the older pugs/citroens are tuned anyways. On the newer Bosch pumps, there all sorts of adjusters and primers and springs and shizz to fiddle with and they can get an easy 50-60hp off a standard pump. Loads of info on tdocuk on tuning mechanical pumps
