you must have a newer truck. I have not got one of those in my old girl.
Lez would be able to tell you the answer to that later.

Very nice indeed. When I lifted the body, I was forced to knock up a new gear lever surround. This left a nice space for a reversing camera screen...
I stuck the red lines on to help me line up when parking at work and Tescos and so on. You could do the same with yours. I mounted the camera In exactly the same place as you.

Nice job on the surround mate, there are cheapie cameras from china that have the 'guidelines' built into the video image, around a tenner for the camera.

Hi hotchef, i cant see the towball because its on a near foot long drop plate!!! I can now see the top of the rear bars now ive lifted them back up, so i can get it near enough a trailer and then drag it on. Ive got a Rage/Drakart style buggy on a homebuilt trailer, so thats pretty easy to manhandle on.
I mainly use the camera for Tesco parking and reversing out of sticky situations at pay n play sites. I am going to add an overide switch so I can monitor the tow rope and the towee if im pulling anyone out or towing them home (normally my mates Vitara) after paying n playing. Atm it it wired into the reverse switch so only comes on with that.

I cant see my ow ball either thats why I might move the camera.
RE installing a switch, I wired my cam up to the reverse lights and the rear side lights for similar reasons to you.
Now if I want it on I just turn the side lights on. No messy switches but it does come on a night, if I dont want it on I just turn the screen off.

Thanks I thought so too.
I also got 2 cams on and in the trailer so this was the best way to power them.
