Apologies to all of those people that asked me questions and did not get a reply. Rather stupidly I assumed I would get notified of replies to the article, but that seems not to have happened, so I missed the chance to help you when you needed it.

I'll go through the list and answer now where I can. If you would like to ensure you get nice fast replies please e-mail me directly at info@experttuning.co.uk, or give me a call on 01883 341774 or 07525 479932.

Many thanks

Paul

Hi Danne

Please note my apology for not seeing your message earlier due to me assuming I'd get an e-mail notification of questions posted on the forum.

In reply to your specific question, we only remap the original vehicle ECU. If you like though, you can remove your ECU and post it to us for remapping. We're able to turn the work around the same day, so if we use express post each end you'll get the ECU back on Wednesday if you post it on a Monday.

Please feel free to call or e-mail directly if you'd like more information.

Regards
Paul

Hi Dingle

Please note my apology for not seeing your message earlier due to me assuming I'd get an e-mail notification of questions posted on the forum.

The only times a vehicle needs a remap from scratch is if a) they are mechanically modified and b) if a particular model has not been remapped before.

Our procedure is to remap a new model (according to VIN number range, engine code etc) on a rolling road end then to 'blueprint' that exact spec. This is precisely what the manufacturer does. We go one further in that not only do we produce a map that irons out the deficiencies programmed in by the manufacturer, but we also develop a range of options focussed on power, power:economy balance or economy.

If you see rolling road remaps advertised for under several hundred pounds, the chances are the rolling road is being used for nothing more than pre-tuning and post-tuning readouts.

I can assure you that a well developed blueprint that has had hours and hours in development is going to be at least as good as, and probably better than, a hurried rolling road one-off remap.

Please feel free to call or e-mail directly if you'd like more information.

Hi BillyMadBiker

Please note my apology for not seeing your message earlier due to me assuming I'd get an e-mail notification of questions posted on the forum. Also, thank you for the comment you made about the pros and cons of a blueprinted remap versus a custom remap. I couldn't have put it better myself.

The power gains are different for each engine, but are all around that 27/28 bhp mark. If you'd like details or bhp and torque gains on a specific model, please get in touch,

Please feel free to call or e-mail directly if you'd like more information.

Paul

Paul to get notified on a reply you need to tick the "subscribe to thread" box when creating or replying to a thread, you can still do this on the reply screen or by clicking a link at the bottom of this page

Hi

While I hope someone else will reply to your question, please fell free to take a look at the magazine review, and the other testimonials on my website. You might also want to take a look at the letter from the Aston owner - on company letterhead - as I went on to tune over 30 vehicles for his company. L200s tune very well and I am sure you'll be happy with the results.
Cheers
Paul

I can vouch for this, even though I used a local remap firm it will make a hell,of a difference! Enjoy
