Just a small update, as you know the whole thing with the intercooler being covered has been bugging me for ages, so i bought myself a 10 blade10" fan and connected it all up (thanks to lez's custom made loom and instructions)

The results were better than i expected, before the fan the average cruising temp was 35-40degree celcius with the outside temp being around 11-12 degrees. If i put my foot down the temp has hit 60 degrees this is doing around 80mph.

Results with the fan on, the temp during cruising stays at 21-25 degrees outside temp is the same 11-12 degrees. When i put my foot down the temp varies between 30-35 degrees.

So this is a great result for me very happy with my purchase attached are a few pics

did it like you said lez, connected wires from the fan, took wires near to battery, connected neg and positive to battery, then fed wire into the cab but i dint have the scotch clippy things so i used your prefered method of shaving the wire and soldering it together.... JOB DONE only took me the whole afternoon as i had to slightly modify the fan to fit
