I have now bought a series 5 Barbarian Manual because I needed a 4x4 to get up my hill towing approx 1500-1750 kg. I talking a very steep tarmac surface that is also very windy and it really is going from near lock to lock. Now there is not a problem with it doing so in low ratio but the problem is Diff lock, I would rather just be able to select 4WD in Low, is there any way of cutting out the diff lock so this is achievable without doing damage? I've seen plenty of post (from various Forums and sites) from members saying that they can select 4WD in Low but no diff lock and asking how they can fix this. Well this is what i want to achieve, is there anyway of having a switch in the cab that would disable the diff lock and if so would i be doing any harm to the vehicle.
