Hi

I have a 2010 warrior 2.5d and its stopped running .Was on a long journey and it dropped into limp mode and started smoking from coolant res and engine cap and now doesn’t start.Soon as you turn the key the coolant res starts bubbling , anybody any ideas as people are saying head gasket but need some ideas where to start

Thanks

Unfortunately bud if the coolant tank is bubbling then the heads gone. Only way to get gas in the coolant that bad is the gasket has gone and is sending compression gasses into the engine water jacket. Sucks but it is what it is. Try not to keep starting it cos if enough water passes thru into a chamber and you crank it then u could possibly bend a valve. You can get a sniff test done at local garage to 100% prove it’s the head before a strip down if u want. Sometimes the EGR coolers leak on the older trucks and can let gasses in to the coolant but not 100% sure if they have one on 2010 trucks. If it’s bubbling tho even wen the trucks not started and just on cranking then it does sound like the head.

Pretty sure it's head, no compression hence No starting. Bubbles in expansion tank is normally exhaust gases. As 123hotchef says check the block face too when it gets done ...as they Have been known to be pitted
