Pics look good bud, I prefer the look of your winch as opposed to the larger (heavier) winch bumpers. I have toyed with the idea myself but really cant justify the expense for the amount of times I might use it . That said , if I had the money I'd have a winch and a bumper and a suspension lift and bigger tyres and better engine and, and , and ........ the list is endless

Sorry Lez, maybe I put that a bit wrong. I'm a "all the gear and no idea" sort of person. What would suit me would be a lightweight winch bumper that looks just like a normal one but weighs next to nowt and a winch that I would only put on if and when I though I'd need it. So in effect my truck looks like it could handle just about everything even though it will never get used in anger.Quite a difference to these guys that have modified their trucks that are actually going to(and do) use them ........ unlike me

Kurt...
Winch tray and a 1mm bumper to go with it looks the part, will do the job as the winch is in a proper tray, but don't bash the bumper...

I forget the supplier but hopefully Andy will be on soon to confirm who they were, cos it's one of the suppliers that Alan has negotiated a discount with. Think it works out at around £250, which is pretty good, I think!

wow! looks good andy!! i think these winch trays are definitely the way forward for those who dont want to fork out for a big heavy winch bumper!

i wish i hadn't asked for a custom A bar now... the winch tray and winch would have nearly been paid for!!

maybe on my new shape...

wellspaced out winch tray

samson 12000;b winch from samson winch & crane

I got my winch reduced to price match after a haggle at the show was £274 I got it for £249

from what I have seen and read the samson winch is a good enough piece of kit for occassional use which I will be, it is not intended for winch trials where it will be used all day every day so you have to decide what are you going to use it for then that reflects on the price, this winch does exactly as it says on the tin and I think it is value for money

Have you used your original bolts out the bumper mounts to fit the tray?
I done mine but was unsure if the bolts are strong enough.
