Just wanting to know if it's possible to put smaller wing mirrors on,preferably a straight swap. If not can it be done and how.

why ?

never swapped mirrors over on a classic to anything other than ones for a classic but ........
early (pre 2000) lancers and EVOs shared a lot of stuff like seat runners some of the switchgear etc so if I were going to gamble on something fitting it would be one of them

Although, and you may not wish to fork for it, there is now provision in the MoT for indirect vision aka cameras.. so you could ditch the mirrors for a pair of glass balls and a screen on the dash.

PS - Same section of the test marks if you can't see enough, it's a major fail.
