L200 Classic OBD

#1 by Mikexx , Tue Oct 22, 2019 10:55 pm

I'm aware this is a bespoke standard for the pre-2006 L200

There have been some articles and hints there is a Delphi lookalike DS150E reader that can access all the control units.

Can anyone pass comment and confirm?

I can't confirm what model of code reader you require but it must be capable of reading the mut3 system that the k74 uses, obd2 won't connect and read the, I can't tag lee for some reason but I'm sure he'll be along soon to tell you which one to use

@123hotchef please read the above as I'm sure you know what compatible one to use 👍

Thanks.

I was using the acronym OBD in it's literal sense rather than the US and Europe's OBD/EOBD standards.

I was aware of the MUT-II and MUT-III. Is this a standard in it's own right or the name of Mitsubishi's dealer systems?

I bought an Chinese OpenPort clone from eBay earlier in the year but never got that to work with the L200.

Many thanks, it seems the way to go.

Can you confirm if it can look at the SRS system? Is the SDU a separate/autonomous system?
