On mine there was small plug and a longer plug hanging down. Think the longer plug is for heated seat switches??? You're Kenwood unit pre dates mine so maybe cabling is different. I'm thinking of upgrading to the digital Kenwood unit, think its £247!

we are obviously of one mind, you and me Mr Bez! Makes total sense to me, however my missus, having been suspiciously easy to persuade to let me have the new one, made prickly noises when I tentatively suggested I could save on ferry fees on this long contract, if i had one truck either side and went back and forth as a foot passenger Oh yeah, and she wanted sofas and carpets so it has to go (ah I see her cunning plan noo!)

Well, you win some and you lose some. And you won a shiny new Barbie so I'd call that a result

So - having opened Pandora`s cardboard box and found an aluminium tonneau cover inside, along with hundreds of bits and pieces , I determined not to make a cabbage of it and find a professional to do what looked like a horrible job for me after taking recommendations around the town I have settled for the amusingly named Gnomies bodyshop in stornaway to do it . He has done several of these before and suggested x3-4 hours would do it - result methinks - also sorted the colour element of my vision at the sign shop for next week too .........
