Dunno bout mpg change re AT`s B, I `ve not discovered if the gauge is consistent through its range yet - 302 miles to the top half of the gauge, but I`m now driving short journeys around stornaway, so I would expect the mpg to suffer.

Yes it does suffer on short journeys Bas, mine is pooh around town and when not up to temp.
25 / 28 mpg is what shows on the screen, but im doing less than 10 miles and its still cold.
On the run today she got up to 44.3 at 40 - 50 MPH but that was going through the gears.
Best ive had is 52 MPG that was on the A50 @ 63 MPH in 5th.

But you do get cheap road tax, £135 a year!

I'm still jealous and would love a barbie, but was the raging bull a higher output? Or just added hairdresserness?

Raging Bulls have only been available with 134bhp - I did loads of research when I got mine.
The earlier ones had sat nav, but that was dropped in favour of smart nav. Yes they have standard bluetooth.
I still want Basil's Barbie tho........

My tax was £215 at the end of december. I have read somewhere some 06 newshapes fall into the lower catagory for some reason....

ok, so now we`ve settled the tax bracket question - I had a great idea yesterday after having to castigate folk for leaning on the tub to yatter with each other - why not clear wrap the tub? its a vast expanse of difficult to keep clean and , ahem, shiny , so .. question is, does clear wrap effect paint long term, and does it change colour appearance when compared with other panels ?

A good clear wrap (fitted correctly) will hardly be noticable, if at all.
The only thing is, all the good clear wraps block all the uv out which is great as it stops the paint fading.
Only down side is, if you keep the truck outside, in 5 years the tub won't ave faded but the rest of the truck will!!

Also, a good clear wrap job costs nearly as much as a re-spray. If It was mine I wold just put some decent protection wax etc on it every 6mths or so.
If it's tatty in 5 years and you want it mint again have it painted.

Theres a guy here in stornaway has a 12 plate S3 911, it comes with what i presume is stone chip all down the lower parts of the sides. Ta Billy, I`ll see how much the girl will charge for full wrap - she`s very reasonable for what I`ve ordered so far. I`ll wait to see the quality.
Ta Rob, there`s a white block which is half the size of the right one hanging very accessibly inside the hole once the placcy trough was taken out. I`m going to have a dig aboot tomorrow and get the light bar fixed on and wired too

Basil, did you see this thread;

Camelius' Truck

Camelius wrapped his entire truck in this stuff: http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3M/en...rotection/Film/ - which according to Camelius is very resilient to stone chips and scratches. He said he backed into a rock or something and it didn't touch the paint. Have a gander. Might suit you.....
