Anyone else have an issue with rust along the top of the windscreen? I have a 2015 mk4 ?

It's your chassis you need to worry about,same metal as the navara apparently

Ever had a new windscreen on it? Not uncommon for a less than expert screen replacement place to not use padded pry tools - metal to metal contact at the point of leverage, paint chips, water lurks and bingo, eventually you've got a free shower inside the vehicle. This is exactly what happened to a gti I had many moons ago.

Not from what I know. I’ve only owned the truck for a year but could have had one previously.

Don’t know whether to get the windscreen removed treat the rust and then wrap the roof in black to protect it. Or simply get it re painted

What condition's the screen in? As if you have questionable scratches on your windscreen, you may be able to get it done under insurance (usually without penalty) - and while the window's out...

As usual top of windscreen on disco has rusted and leaking! used captain tolleys leak sealer, but hole is a bit too big I think, so the external silicon bead across the top will do the job. Done the roof bar bases and around the sunroofs about 8 years ago and all still good!

my MK4 has a small amount of rust across the top of the screen too
not that much that it concerns me , just enough to spot when washing it ........ which only happens a couple of times a year
maybe its a 'white truck' kind of issue ? @Dan1311
