Hey forum, I have been trying to see if the super select 4WD system was available for the k74 l200, so far I havent found any reference confirming it. That got me some questions..
Was the 4wd super select available for the k74 generation?
Is it possible to install a fully functional 4wd superselect in a k74 by putting the parts from a pajero? (Transmission tunnel may fit?, any issues with dashboard indicators when trying this? Or is this just so crazy that is not worth it?)

Firstly , no super select was never available for K74. The idea has been muted about before but I'm not sure if say have done it with the stock engine

Oh thanks! that helps, but my research was leading me to brazilian and portuguese models which happens to have this crazy production years, for example, for some reason they had the k74 chassis still coming out from factory as for 2011-2012.
I dont really speak portuguese but they had this HPE version which seems to be quite a big deal. I noticed major redesign in headlamps/bumpers but I am still researching.

Would it not be easier to just buy a long wheelbase Pajero and turn the body into a pick up??

Ummm the mitsubishi challenger (nativa or montero sport) is supposed to be a SUV based on the k74 chassis, sharing a number of parts, interior-wise looks very similar, and it came with the super select, for some reason I believe swapping the trans would be just simpler... but again, Im not sure how deep the water is in this matter
