I drove my one for quite a while until I found out what the noise was.
It wore a hole in the cam belt cover

Eventful couple of days!

Fixed TEX_L200's truck for him in record time! But on the way to the meet, the alternator decide it wasn't going to play.

Drove most of the way back whilst watching the battery gauge and the tail lights of Andy driving in front of me. Had to stop at the services on the way down to recharge the battery by jump leads to Andy's truck.

Thanks Andy.

Decided to fit a new alternator rather than getting mine fixed as it would have been the third time its been fixed.

£182 for alternator with oil pump, just got to fit it tomorrow and see how it runs.

I might during my three weeks at home, be able to drive the truck for the first time with no snags. Here's hoping!

Well, start new job as a generator technician in the UK on Thursday so should be around alot more than when I worked out in Afghan! with the added bonus of not having to wear body armour every day.

Truck has had a good clean and tappets done as well as cleaning the air filter for the first time since fitting, very dirty!
