So the question on everybody with a winches lips today @123hotchef, How did your winch stand up to being Dunked at Kirkton? Any tips / experiences / lessons you have picked up or has the winch taken everything in it's stride?

the winch is going well mate works a treat thanks to alan for the group buy even though it was another pain in the ass.
Tips are
put that solinoid box up high if I didnt it would have been toast!
the cable is heavy get rope for it when funds allow.

All sound advice. Where did you mount yours in the end ? Mine is on the passenger wheel arch and was bone dry after some wading Yesterday so i think i have found the dry spot. Did you get to test your winch at all?
