This job is going to cost Approx 2 grand which I don't have so looking if the threads on the shaft can be fixed someone I talked to said I could skim down the washer inorder to get the bolt to have more room to try and get at the better threads further in the shaft if they are ok that is. I don't know if this is possible anyone else has an idea or am I just looking at scraping my truck

Tbh buddy any attempt to "fix" threads is going to be a fanny up job, and you might get it to last to trade it but it's never going to last, and it passes the buck onto some other poor sod.

If you can have a go at doing the work yourself it's probably worth it. Depends on tools, time and having alternative transport while it's off the road. I was pretty lucky when mine popped as things kind of fell into place to help me sort it.

No I won't pass it on not my style. Just have to look replacing the engine I suppose. A few second hand ones around but that's just peeing in the wind. So is going off the road till I can get a new engine I suppose. Mmm back to driving a car. how boring .

I did it with help from the forum. Not a mechanic to trade but reasonably handy with the spanners. As yours is the later fly by wire type there are a few extra bits to disconnect but I was surprised how easy the engine lifted out!

I'd give it a try but need a engine lift and I'd do it in the evenings but is a new engine the same crap design?

I got an engine lift brand new on eBay for around £150 and it was fine. New engine will be exactly the same design I'm afraid!
