Anyway, I'm off to buy my snorkel later, so this weekend i shall be mostly fitting a snorkel, skid plates and seeing if my Ralliart go faster thing will work...

Where you getting your snorkel from?

Direct 4x4, they are local to me so I can go and collect it.

Picked up my snorkel yesterday, looks like a decent bit of kit. It's one of the safari replicas but seems tough enough. The salesman says they sold a lot but I take that as sales patter but he did advise to make my own template... I'll line the template up later and see what I think....

After these mods I have a few homemade ones planned....

Spent yesterday fitting my snorkel and plates. Snorkel was a right pita though... I guess that's what I get for buying cheap. The results are good but everything had to be fettled to be right. Holes in the template were out so that had to be sorted before I started, the adapter for the air box had to be opened out to fit the air box and the jubilee for the intake was too small.

That being said it works well and I'm pleased with the result.

The skid plates went on perfect.

Not the best of pictures as it had started to rain by the time I had finished fitting them. I get a chance to test the mods next weekend as I'm off to do some lanes around Leicestershire.

Had another go at fitting my Rallitronic module today after checking it for loose connections. Same as previous though and wont start with it fitted. used my code reader app which gives me a code of P2148 injector voltage grpA high. I'm guessing this means that it need coding to the ecu by the dealers. I'll give them a call later and see how much they want...

Misti Derby didn't want to know about coding it to my truck for me but agreed that is what was needed. Might see if there are any other dealers nearby that will. If not think I'll put it back on ebay for someone else to have a go.

I've done a few little bits since my last update but nothing major. I've bought and fitted a roll bar, unfortunately it is chrome but I'm looking at painting this and the armadillo cover black. I also wired up some LED lights in the bed and an LED work light, both of which work great. And after thinking about it for a while then seeing it on the FB page I bought a pack of the clip together rubber mats from Hellfrauds to make a clean mat for the boot, the missus kept complaining I was making the pushchairs dirty with no mats so these can be put in when I want a clean boot and stored behind the rear seats when I'm carrying crap to the tip etc. I'll have to get some pictures of the above to post.

I've also done two laning trips, one around Llangollen and one in the Peaks.

Next up I'm hoping to raise the front suspension to level the truck out and give the tyres some more room in the arches, and then hopefully some more laning. I'm also trying to rationalise swapping the alloys I've got for some black modular steels...
